Here are 15 things I never seem to be able to get enough of. I try to savor them as much as possible and always wish I had more of each. I would assume that most of these are fairly common to the "I can't get enough" lists of 21st century adults in Western civilization.
1) Sleep.
2) Money.
3) Quiet/relaxing times.
5) Movies/TV shows that are actually entertaining.
6) Days that are free of illness/pain.
7) Clean air/surroundings.
8) Quality time with family.
9) Opportunities to excel.
10) Politicians who cater to my point of view.
11) Food that's nutritious, inexpensive, and great-tasting.
12) Time off from work.
13) Things that are built/made to last.
14) Warm, sunny days of late spring and early fall.
15) Freedom to be me.

Hi Terry what I would give to be able to have a lie in some mornings, and a little more brass in my pocket, however it was no 10 on the list that I loved most. Wouldn`t we all love this.Keep WellKacyKacy, thanks for commenting. Yes, we would all love to have more of number 10.
Okay, I'll be the first to jump in and say where is SEX? Perhaps that made your list during high school and throughout college maybe? I think Avis was hinting at this but I'm sure she will agree with me that by the time a gal hits her sexual stride, her mate has just discovered he has a favorite easy chair. I forget who said that, perhaps someone could enlighten me with the author?Avis dear, if I put words in your mouth please forgive me but I do know that a healthy physical relationship in a marriage is vitally important to continued growth and when I was still practicing family counseling, sex sure was something a lot of people wanted more of in their relationship. Intellectual "stimulation" works I suppose. I think I read in one of your articles that you were from VA> Yes, you wrote a list of what was great about this state. Well, I'm here to edit that list of yours and say this roller coaster weather we have been having of late is ridiculous and I have a terrible cold to show for it. Smile Terry!MylaMyla, I can always count on you for an entertaining comment. :-) Yes, the weather in Virginia has been quite the rollercoaster lately. I'm not a weatherman, but don't look for it to get any better in March. I'd still rather have this than what they've had in some states lately. My darling Myla, can't I pretend to be prudish?! Huh? Just this time?! Now that you've brought it up *cough-cough* ...and Terry's given me permission to contribute, in marriage, sex would make my list and so would my Faith. But you're correct about some men and that easy chair. *laughing*
You are a riot! Gawd, I love it! Do they say "gawd" in VA? They do in SC. Can't believe I just did. Oh well. I agree wholeheartedly with Terry, leave it to mahvelouz Myla to entertain us with her comments.
Hi Terry.I might just have the perfect life. Let's see: #1) For the most part. #2) There's not too much I desire, so yeah. #3) Got that. #4) Isn't that what Search Warp is for? #5) I only watch what entertains me otherwise there are books. #6) I can't complain. #7) Well, it's getting dirtier all the time as the population increases, but 5,000 feet of elevation sure helps a lot. #8) Bernd only works part time, so we have plenty of time together for talks, walks and ping pong. #9) If I don't excel, I've only myself to blame. #10) Never happen but I'm okay with that. #11) I do all my own cooking (lots of food allergies and can't eat anything I haven't made) and I am a pretty darn good cook (pat, pat, pat). #12) That's sometimes a little hard to figure because I work at home, but I don't find myself all that often wishing for a vacation, so it must be good enough. #13) Yeah, I don't think you can get that any more unless you make it yourself. #14) I could do with a few more of those, too. #15) I've gotten to the age where I am just darn well going to be me and nobody can tell me different ... uh, if that's okay with you. :)But really, your list led me to reflect on my life, hence the first sentence of this comment. My life is pretty darn good and I know it could easily be a lot worse.Thank you, Terry, for showing me how good my life is!DianneCool comment Dianne, I'd love for you to post a video of you and your hubby batting the ping pong ball around sometime. Ever since you wrote the article about your ping pong matches I've had a picture of the two of you diving about the basement in an all out ping pong war!Yeah, I'd love to see that one too.Dianne, I'm glad I was able to "enlighten" like that. :-) And thanks for the very comprehensive (indeed) set of comments. I would say they were even more informative than the article itself.Hi Terry.Well, your article really did get me to thinking ... caused to me examine my situation. And I can go on about things. Just ask Bernd. When I actually write an article that is concise, he is sooo amazed.Dianne
Hi Terry, Its the simple things in life--thanks for the reminder. I love all your lists you have been putting together for us to enjoy. I am looking foward to the next one :-) God bless you always. TeresaTeresa, thanks for commenting. I'm glad you like them. There are more in the pipeline that will be coming soon.
Great, Terry. I think you covered most everything. I guess the biggest problem I have with at this time in my life, is the top two--never enough sleep (of course, that puts me on Searchwarp quite often) and too little money--that one, I'm just getting used to.Have a great day.SandraSandra, thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Besides the other 14 items on your list, "freedom to be me" would be on my list too. Thanks, Terry, for this brilliant yet simple exercise, which is full of tease. ~mogama~Hi Mogama, thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts about this article.
