Scheduling "No Upset" Days

Because of my tendency to get upset about little things and blow them way of proportion, I have instituted a scheme of scheduling "no upset" days.

Currently, I designate every fifth day as a "no upset" day. What this means is that, on each day I assign this distinction to, my goal is to not allow myself to get upset or worried about anything other than a major setback.
Obviously, there is no way I could prevent myself from getting upset about something big like a serious illness/injury, death in the family, job loss, etc. But I can, with a little effort and practice, avoid getting upset about every little thing that goes wrong.

I plan to schedule these days more frequently, i.e., every fourth day, every third day etc., with my ultimate goal being to make every day a "no upset" day. I just can't achieve this goal all at once. I have to ease myself into it, so it won't be so stressful or too much of a shock to the system.

Dianne, as usual, thanks for commenting. My method really seems to be working. I may soon start calling myself "Mellow Yellow." Uh, don't read too much into that, though.
