Scheduling "No Upset" Days

Because of my tendency to get upset about little things and blow them way of proportion, I have instituted a scheme of scheduling "no upset" days.
Currently, I designate every fifth day as a "no upset" day. What this means is that, on each day I assign this distinction to, my goal is to not allow myself to get upset or worried about anything other than a major setback.
Obviously, there is no way I could prevent myself from getting upset about something big like a serious illness/injury, death in the family, job loss, etc. But I can, with a little effort and practice, avoid getting upset about every little thing that goes wrong.I plan to schedule these days more frequently, i.e., every fourth day, every third day etc., with my ultimate goal being to make every day a "no upset" day. I just can't achieve this goal all at once. I have to ease myself into it, so it won't be so stressful or too much of a shock to the system.
