Scream and Shout with Your Actions

I'm not being critical, but I have never been comfortable in churches where the pastor and parishioners spend a lot of time screaming and shouting. For one thing, that kind of stuff grinds on my nerves.
However, the major reason for my dislike of that style of worship is that I believe it is cheap. Anyone who is physically able to do so can scream, shout, and make all kinds of noise in church. It is certainly no indicator of what is in their hearts, so I doubt that God is impressed.
I know I'm not, especially when I consider the fact that many of the churches which host the most screaming and shouting are the same ones whose members and other regular attendees have highest rates of unwed births. It's better when people scream and shout with their actions. No doubt that's what God would rather see.

I'm just a born screamer. *sheepish grin*Avis, I would never have guessed that you were a born screamer. You're such a tease (in a nice sort of way, of course). And you are a gentleman, Terry, thank you. I'm completely harmless.
Terry, Your title drew me in. I read w/keen interest/enjoyment the exchange between Avis and you. I feel encouraged: "Good" repartee CAN still take place between persons of different and strong opinions! Makes me want to shout!!! *smileJane, thanks for providing your observations. One thing I like about SearchWarp is that, despite having writers who represent almost every possible opinion on any issue, it manages not be as nasty and antagonistic as similar sites.
