What's in Your Pending Articles Folder?

I don't know about other writers, but I keep about five to ten articles in a "pending articles" folder at all times. The articles I keep there are those that, in my opinion, are not quite ready for primetime yet.
A few are ultimately merged in with other articles. About 20% of these articles, however, are eventually deleted and therefore never make it to the light of day to seen by anyone other than me. The remainder are published somewhere (my blog, if nowhere else) sooner or later. Most of the time, this happens sooner rather than later.
Articles in this folder include those that I have just started on, along with those that I'm not quite satisfied with for whatever reason. That reason could be any one or combination of the following: (1) the article's style needs some work (it's too simplistic, rambling, repetitious, etc), (2) I've not been able to make it say what I want it to say, (3) it's incoherent or not coherent enough for my standards, (4) there are words that I'm looking for but can't think of yet, or (5) I have yet to organize it or my thoughts properly. This Article has been viewed 249 times. Top-level comments on this article: (1 total)Hi Terry.I don't have a pending articles folder. I wish I did. I've thought about making a file for ideas but haven't even done that. I don't seem to get enough ideas together at any one time for it to matter.I think it's great that you have so much material to work with that you need a file for them. Maybe I'll have to look into putting one together. Maybe it will inspire me to fill it up.Thanks for the advice,DianneDianne, you seem to have a lot of great thoughts and good ideas. You could probably fill up a pending articles folder. :-)
