Flipping Off the Violence

I'm tired of all the violence on TV. I've seen all the simulated acts of violence that I can tolerate in one lifetime. I have no interest in seeing another assault, shot, or explosion, whether brought to us by the bad guys or the good guys. I don't even want to hear people yelling at each other anymore.
Of course, that definitely means no more crime dramas or cop shows for me. Actually, I lost interest in them years ago, so they won't be any real loss. But it could also possibly mean no more of any other kind of scripted TV show, including comedies. If that's the case, so be it. That's a small price to pay for keeping one's sanity.
I want to see and hear pleasant things. I want something that will calm me down and make me feel better. I want something that is refreshing and relaxing. Sorry, but violence and screaming don't fit that bill. Besides, that stuff just feeds a person's darker side. Mine is about to go on a crash diet!

I think we haven't really progressed much since the days of people being thrown to the lions. I wish you much peace of mind.Hi Jennifer, thanks for reading and commenting.
