Did You Get Your Swine Flu Shot?

I got my swine flu (H1N1) shot in December, as soon as it became available to me, just like I always get my regular flu shot each year. I would have gotten one even if it had cost $100,000 and was only available in Australia. I would have taken out a second mortgage and flown there to get one, if that had been necessary. As it turned out, though, it only cost $15 and was available at my local Walgreens. :-)

The H1N1 virus didn't turn out to be as bad as we were warned that it might get. However, I have no regrets about getting my shot and would make the same decision if I had a chance to do things over again. The World Health Organization (WHO), an arm of the U.N., and the U.S. government probably overreacted to it, but I think it's always better to be safe than sorry. I would rather that they overreact than under react. Could you imagine what would have happened if they had ignored it and it had ultimately turned out to the next Black Plague?

I know some people (including some of my relatives, I'm sad to say) who would not take the swine flu shot because they thought it might be intentionally tainted as a part of some kind of sinister plot by the federal government and the U.N. Sheesh!!!

I did not get a swine flu shot. I did not get one because I believe the whole thing was blow way out. I do not believe the shot was "tainted" but I do believe that the big Pharm companies got some of my tax money. I guess it is just personal choice.
